Slovak government’s spending related to the Russian invasion may come to €1-2bn
The Slovak government’s spending related to the Russian invasion may come to €1-2bn this year, reckons Finance Minister Igor Matovič. He added that Russian President Vladimir Putin "stole from the Slovak people money we wanted to give as compensation for higher energy prices and in higher pensions." The main spending will be on refugees―accommodation, health care and social allowances. The EU will reimburse some of these costs.
