Slovak companies pay high energy prices

While in the first half of 2019 Slovak companies paid electricity and gas prices roughly at the EU average level, in the second half of last year Slovak prices were much higher, Eurostat data show. The result is relatively high prices for food and other goods in Slovakia, as well as higher inflation in recent years. Energy prices for companies, in €/kWh:
