SHP Harmanec plans €200m new plant

Paper mill SHP Harmanec (Milan Fiľo) plans to invest €200m in a new plant that will double output to 75,000 tons annually. It currently produces mainly toilet paper, but output will diversify. Construction will begin next year and the plant should be fully operational within three years. Another 150 employees will be added to the current 450. In 2023–24, the mill reported net profit of €12m and annual sales of about €100m.
SHP Group operates in six European countries with annual sales of €300m and output of 200,000 tons. It employs 1,300 and is considering acquisitions in Poland.
