Ružomberok highway bypass will be completed in mid-2024
The 15 km Ružomberok highway bypass will be completed in mid-2024, said Transport Minister Andrej Doležal (Sme rodina). The previous deadline was the end of 2023. The bypass is being built by Váhostav (Luděk Kostka), which, according to Doležal, threatened to terminate the contract due to rising prices of construction materials. Doležal has now agreed with the company on a way to cover the increased costs. The final price will be determined later; the initial price of €227m has already been increased to €307m and the final price tag will be even higher.
