RRZ is happy with the state budget for the first time in many years
RRZ, the fiscal responsibility council, deems the government-approved 2021 state budget realistic. For the first time in many years it does not see risks of undervalued expenditures and overvalued revenues. RRZ expects a deficit of 7% of GDP, compared to the government’s aim of 7.3%. RRZ praises the government’s efforts to stimulate the economy by one-off measures and points at lack of long-term consolidation plan. The budget is exceptional in its clarity and description, for the very first time, of the objectives pursued by the government by spending public money.
