Residential property prices down 10.1% annually

Residential property prices stood at €2,440 per sqm in the third quarter, down 10.1% annually, reported the central bank NBS, which monitors prices in ads. This is the highest rate of decline since 2009. Quarter-on-quarter, prices fell for the fourth quarter in a row and the pace remained unchanged from 2Q at 2.3%. NBS does not expect an early end to the price decline, as mortgage rates remain high and developers are slowing down the supply of new apartments.
