Renewable power sources will double
The permitted installed capacity of renewable energy sources is being increased by further 170 MW, announced SEPS, the state-owned energy grid operator. Last year, SEPS increased the capacity by 407 MW. At present, Slovakia has photovoltaic power plants with an installed capacity of just over 500 MW. The state will subsidize investments in new renewables with €122m from the Recovery Facility, €400m from the Modernization Fund and additional EU funds for 2021-27.
