Regional wage disparities are falling

Wages in the automotive sector, as well as of production operators in other sectors, in Nitra and Žilina have climbed to the Bratislava level in recent years, according to a survey by Grafton, a staffing agency. In 2019-22, wages grew the fastest in the lowest paying jobs and outside Bratislava. Shop assistant salaries rose by €300 to €1,400. In absolute terms, wages grew the most in the IT sector, e.g. Cloud Architect salaries rose by €1,300 to €3,700.
