The public procurement authority ÚVO canceled the results of a tender for the construction of a military hospital in Prešov and ordered a re-evaluation of the bids. It argued the Defense Ministry did not prove in its decision that the successful bidder met the tender conditions or that its bid was better. This puts the state under considerable time pressure, as a €195m Recovery Facility subsidy is tied to the construction of a 9-story building by the end of August 2026. (Jezikova) The tender was won by a consortium consisting of Bekor (Alexander Gyurkovics) and Hungarian firms Confector and West Hungária with a bid of €450m.
