PM Robert Fico admitted early elections could come in January

PM Robert Fico admitted early elections could come in January if SNS leader Andrej Danko and Environment Minister Tomáš Taraba fail to agree and guarantee the cabinet's functioning and the support of enough MPs in parliament. Fico will withdraw last week's motion to dismiss Taraba, following Taraba's warning that he will not automatically vote for coalition proposals in parliament. Fico added he is ready for elections in January, after which he wants to cooperate with Republika.

Neither SNS nor Hlas will vote for early elections, and Hlas will not back Taraba's dismissal in parliament either. PS, the largest opposition party, supports holding early elections as soon as possible.
