Pixel Federation posted lower sales and profit
Pixel Federation (Šimon Šicko), Slovakia’s largest gaming studio, posted a 62% drop in net profit to €3.2m last year and its sales fell 7% to €47.4m. After the pandemic, demand for games has fallen and the economic slowdown has slashed gamers' budgets. The company hasn't changed its target of having €100m in revenue and last year responded by bringing back Šicko as CEO. It will launch a new mobile game this year. It employs 300 people in Slovakia and Czechia and its most successful games are TrainStation 2 and Diggy’s Adventure.
