Penta is selling Fortuna

Penta (Haščák family and Marek Dospiva) is considering the sale of a stake in Fortuna, the No.1 betting agency in the CEE region and the second most valuable company in its portfolio after the Dr.Max pharmacy chain. Fortuna is valued at €2bn and Penta hired JP Morgan to assist in the deal. Penta wants to invest the money from the sale in the healthcare sector. Fortuna has managed well a difficult transition from traditional branch betting to online environment in recent years. Last year, it posted an EBITDA profit of €200m.
