Number of corporate bankruptcies surge
Last year, 270 companies filed for bankruptcy and courts approved 24 debt restructurings. The number of bankruptcies was 62% higher compared to an all-time lowest total in 2020 as the temporary pandemic bankruptcy protection ended. The number of debt restructurings has increased by a tenth, according to CRIF data. Last year, companies in the fields of wholesale and retail went bankrupt the most.
