Number of clients visiting Slovak spas rose 3% to 173,000 last year

The number of clients visiting Slovak spas rose 3% to 173,000 last year, of whom 152,000 were Slovaks, and 39% had their stay covered by health insurance, according to NCZI data. For the first time since the pandemic, the average client number for 2015-19 was exceeded, with the number of domestic self-payers increasing by almost a third compared to the pre-pandemic average. Foreign visitors have not yet returned to previous levels.
