MMA company Oktagon is growing fast

The largest Czechoslovak mixed martial arts company Oktagon, controlled by Slovak Pavol Neruda and Czech Ondřej Novotný, increased its revenues by two thirds to €10m last year and plans further growth to €17m this year. This will be close to the biggest player in Slovak sport―football club Slovan Bratislava (Ivan Kmotrík) had €19m revenues last year. The Slovak part of Oktagon, Neruda Production, accounts for 60% of turnover and reported a net profit of €1.2m in 2020-22. It organizes tournaments in Slovakia, Czechia, and Germany, and plans to hold its first tournament in the UK this year. The owners value it at €100m and have already turned down an offer to sell it for tens of millions.
