Mario Hoffmann sold Fortischem for €1 to Czech group Kaprain

Mario Hoffmann sold his Nováky-based chemical plant Fortischem for €1 to Czech group Kaprain (Karel Pražák), which controls Czech chemical plant Spolchemie. The new owner will strive to save 700 jobs. The plant has not paid December wages and was forced to limit production due to lack of money to buy inputs. Pražák, former manager of Czech group PPF, which used to finance Fortischem, said that the acquisition has not been completed.

Hoffmann is keeping his other chemical assets, former Chemko Strážske.
