Magna to invest €110m in electric motor components production in Kechnec

The government granted investment incentives worth €8m. Canada’s Magna will receive a €4.2m tax break for a €110m investment in the production of electric motor components in Kechnec, near Košice, creating 24 jobs by 2029.

China’s Uniconn will receive a €3.5m tax break for a €23.5m investment in the production of contact systems for battery cells in Košice, with 130 new jobs expected this year.

Local firm 1. deliace centrum (Ľubomír Róža) received a €0.4m tax break for a €2m investment in a sheet metal cutting facility in Strážske.
