The largest investments announced last year included a battery factory of Gotion in Šurany, the expansion of the Porsche plant in Horná Streda to include the assembly of batteries, the production of electric cars in Volkswagen Bratislava, Jaguar Land Rover Nitra and Kia Žilina, the decarbonization of production at the Duslo Šaľa chemical plant, the production of heat pump components by Winkelmann in Rimavská Sobota, the waste incinerator in Slovnaft and the production of aluminum components for electric cars by Mubea near Košice.
