Labor union at steel pipe maker Železiarne Podbrezová (Vladimír Soták) sent a letter to PM Robert Fico warning that high energy prices threaten the firm’s survival and could cost hundreds or thousands of jobs. The company posted a record €31m loss last year. Unions demand competitive energy rates.
