Ján Sabol is again the sole owner of soft drinks maker Budiš (former Slovenské pramene a žriedla). Back in 2008, he formed a joint venture with Ján Šofranko (40%; brands Zlatá studňa and Šofokola). Šofranko later sold the stake to Oldřich Šlemr, who sold it to Jaroslav Halas (both are Czech businessmen). Sabol bought the stake late last year from Halas. In 2015, Kofola intended to acquire the 40% stake, but the deal fell through due to objections of the local anti-trust authority PMÚ.
