Ivan Kmotrík called on the government to settle out of court the dispute over the National Football Stadium in Bratislava. He argued that courts had already ruled in his favor in two of the four disputes, stating that the stadium's construction, managed by Kmotrík, was not a public contract and thus did not require a public tender. The former OĽaNO government declared the stadium agreements invalid. If the state loses the court cases, it may end up without the stadium and liable for high compensation, up to €130m. Coalition parties have discussed the settlement but have not agreed on a solution.

Kmotrík, owner of the Slovan Bratislava football club, built the stadium for around €120m. The previous Smer government paid him a €27m subsidy and promised to buy the finished stadium for €75m. However, the OĽaNO government withdrew from the agreements and demanded the subsidy back.
