Interior Ministry expanding its inhouse IT capacities

Following the Ministries of IT and Justice, the Interior Ministry is also expanding its inhouse IT capacities. It is using its subsidiary, car repair shop AO, and has already signed three contracts. One is for a €3.8m firefighting and rescue services IT system and others are linked to the detection of economic crimes and terrorist financing, as well as the registration of foreigners. The Ministry claims its 50-strong subsidiary will bring a 20% cost savings compared to external vendors. The new IT capacities are led by Marek Václavík, a former shareholder in the Azet.sk and Reinoo projects.
