Instant payments from February 1, 2022

The SLSP, VÚB, Tatra banka and Raiffeisen banks announced they will launch instant payments on February 1, 2022. They should provide the new service without special fees. At present, payments within a bank are processed instantly, but payments to other banks and within the EU are held to the next day. Banks emphasize that instant payments pose a big technological challenge. In Czechia, 12 banks already provide them.
