Highway construction to be sped up
Parliament approved legislation speeding up the preparation of select highways. Some permitting processes will run in parallel, and the Value for Money unit’s reviews will be postponed to a later stage. The acceleration only applies to some sections of D1, D3, R2, R3, R4 and R6. The unit condemned the change as the postponement of its involvement limits the scope for optimization of projects.
