Heneken keeps expanding
Heneken (Michal Hudoba and Adrián Stolár) has acquired aluminum processor Laná Žiar nad Hronom. It is located near the big aluminum smelter Slovalco and used to have 400 workers but is now running at just 30% of capacity with 50 workers. Last year, it posted a €0.1m loss on €8.4m in sales. The new owner plans to invest €7-8m into new aluminum wire technologies.
Heneken started as a metal trader. Three years ago, it acquired aluminum processor Heneken Melts based in Spišské Vlachy. It has invested €5m there and increased its annual sales to €15m. Last year, it also acquired zinc smelter Brock Metals in Košice, with annual sales of €23m. Heneken posted €24m sales last year.
