Government will subsidize mortgages and slap bank levy

The government asked Finance Minister Ladislav Kamenický to submit solutions to high mortgage rates by next Wednesday. Before the election, Smer advocated subsidizing mortgages and yesterday Kamenický said that "the situation with mortgages is becoming critical." He confirmed that a bank levy is on the table.
