General election did not bring more professionalism and courage to the public administration
The change of government in March 2020 did not bring more professionalism and courage to the public administration, says the daily N. Compared to other EU countries, the first pandemic wave in Slovakia brought relatively few casualties and a small economic downturn. The government quickly agreed on a far-reaching reform draft and approved judicial reform. The economy avoided a bankruptcy wave, the largest being the Arca Capital group. Education is still a big issue, as schools have been closed and the government's education reform draft is vague and unambitious.
