Gas station market consolidation continues, TAM to acquire Tanker
The anti-trust authority PMÚ is reviewing a deal in which petrol station chain TAM (Marian Tóth) is buying its competitor Tanker (Peter Holopa). TAM has 20 stations and Tanker 27, mainly in western and central Slovakia. Tanker broke even in 2022 and sales soared 80% to €159m. TAM reported a net profit of €1.6m in 2022 on €366m sales.
