Financial transaction tax will not be abolished

The cabinet will not scrap the financial transaction tax, PM Robert Fico said. The reason is that it wants to build hospitals and keep household electricity, heat and gas prices at current levels. Next year it wants to return to blanket energy price aid, as this year's attempt at targeted aid failed, according to Fico.
