Electricity suppliers will lose €150m annually on Slovakia Energy clients
Clients of Slovakia Energy, which left the Slovak market at the end of September, will be taken over by suppliers of last resort SPP (gas) and ZSE, SSE and VSE (power; based on regional principle). Clients may also opt for another supplier. (webnoviny.sk) Martin Ondko, the owner of energy supplier Magna, estimates that electricity suppliers will lose €150m annually on Slovakia Energy clients as they will have to purchase power for them at the current high prices but charge them low regulated prices. All suppliers will try to avoid these clients. Ondko expects that the state will have to step in and cover the loss.
