Electric Porsche Cayenne will be made in Bratislava

The Bratislava Volkswagen car plant announced that it will produce a fully electric Porsche Cayenne model from 2025. Last year, electric and hybrid models accounted for 17% of its output. It will be the third fully electric model produced in Slovakia, after the VW Up and Peugeot 208. Volvo will produce only electric cars near Košice from 2027. Porsche assembles batteries for electric cars at its plant in Horná Streda. (trend.sk)
The VW plant will start production of VW Passat and Škoda Superb models by the end of this year. Later it is to add a new Audi Q9 model. German company Webasto is investing in a new plant for assembling electric car batteries in nearby Lozorno.
