Confal wants to build a new plant

Confal (Branislav Petro), an aluminum processor, plans to invest €10.5m in a new plant for the processing of aluminum slag, a waste in aluminum production, near Žiar nad Hronom. The plant should have an annual capacity of 30,000 tons upon completion in mid-2023. It will create 11 jobs in processing aluminum waste that is currently being exported for processing. Confal had sales of €28m in 2020 and employs 100. Petro also owns the Alcast foundry in Humenné, and last year he bought Sloval, an aluminum recycling company.
