Chipita opened new €90m plant near Dunajská Streda

Greek food group Chipita has launched production in its new €90m 500-strong plant in Kostolné Kračany near Dunajská Streda. The initial launch date was last year. It plans to make 66 tons of 7Days croissants and 36 tons of Bake'n'Rolls daily, accounting for half of the total Slovak bakery output. Most of the output will be exported.

Last week, Mondelēz announced acquiring Chipita for $2bn. It makes Milka and Figaro chocolates in Bratislava.
