Changes to judicial reform

The Justice Ministry is considering withdrawing the courts map legislation, revising it, and re-submitting it for comments. It says the legislation has attracted too many comments and is opposed by judges. Minister Mária Kolíková (Za ľudí) keeps negotiating the court reform with judges. Its main objective is to reduce the number of courts, specialize judges, and create new specialized courts. (sme.sk) The new Supreme Administrative Court should be launched on August 1, as planned, says Kolíková. It seems the court will initially have fewer than the planned 30 judges.
