Bratislava is not attractive for hotel expansion

Hotels in Bratislava reported a 76% annual drop in the average sales per room in the final quarter of 2020, Cushman & Wakefield data show. The average price per room and night fell by 17% to €66. Hotel occupancy in Bratislava fell by 72% to 19%. In the CEE region, Prague was the most affected (85% drop in revenues per room). Hotel operators expect the market to recover in 2022-24. According to CW surveys, Bratislava is not very attractive for hotel expansion, it only ranks 18th out of 30 cities in the region.
