Bloomreach snaps up Exponea
U.S. firm Bloomreach is the new owner of Slovak company Exponea, which helps automate digital marketing. The previous majority owner was Ivan Chrenko, the wealthiest Slovak, who has invested €35m until 2019. The last financing round valued the company with 200 employees at €300m. Price was not disclosed. Chrenko will allegedly receive some cash but also a stake in the newly formed entity. Peter Irikovský, CEO and a minority shareholder, stays on too.
Besides developer HB Reavis, Chrenko also owns 50% stakes in investment consultant firm Finax and online fashion store Factcool. His NGO, called Leaf, supports education and is building a high school campus near Bratislava.
