Bioway is dreaming about €6bn hydrogen project
Local company Bioway (Blažej Podolák) is working on a €6bn project to build infrastructure for hydrogen truck and bus transport, with money to come from EU funds. Thanks to investments into production and distribution of hydrogen, it hopes for 10,000 hydrogen trucks to be on the road in Slovakia, Czechia, Poland, and Hungary in 2030. Some parts of the project are currently being reviewed by the European Commission. Among its aims is to have 250 hydrogen filling stations in existing gas stations; the first three should be launched this year in Czechia. It has 15 LNG trucks and is working on the production of biomethane.
