Apartment prices in some regions have been falling for three quarters

In response to rising mortgage rates, apartment prices in some regions have been falling for three quarters, Nehnuteľnosti.sk data show. However, the development is uneven and the prices of 2-room apartments are falling more than those of 3-room ones. In some Košice districts, prices are down 9% annually and in Bratislava's Nové Mesto they are 5% down. In the remaining parts of Bratislava, though, prices are still 2-20% higher annually. So far, the price correction has not been as severe as in 2008, the share of non-performing loans remains low, and the labor market remains stable.
