Another public IT system owned and run by private vendor

In its Building Code reform, Deputy PM Štefan Holý (Sme rodina) proposed setting up a new IT system to handle the entire process of issuing building permits starting in 2025. The new IT system should be run by a private firm for €30m annually. The expenditure will be covered by companies and individuals paying a fee of 1.25% of building costs. The plan will soon be reviewed by the IT Ministry and its Deputy Minister, Marek Antal, says too little information has been published so far. He is concerned the new system aims to completely bypass other public IT systems. Slovensko.Digital objects to the system being run by a private company and not the state.
