Fully 62% of Slovaks are dissatisfied with the functioning of democracy in their country, the 3rd-highest share in the EU, the autumn Eurobarometer survey showed. Only 31% trust the government and 32% the parliament, while 52% trust both the European Parliament and the European Commission. 73% are satisfied with EU membership and 22% are dissatisfied. Interestingly, 85% are satisfied with their own life, which is roughly the EU average. The main problem is inflation, 47% of Slovaks say (the EU average is 33%). Migration worries a fifth of Europeans compared to 7% of Slovaks.
