New pandemic containment measures
The government adopted new pandemic containment measures as of September 1, announced Health Minister Marek Krajčí. All mass gatherings of over 1,000 people (outdoors) and 500 people (indoors) are banned and water worlds’ visitor numbers will be capped at 1,000. High-capacity sites for Covid-19 testing will open in Bratislava, Trnava, Trenčín, and Banská Bystrica. Today, the government will publish measures for employers and their foreign workers. The police will fine people without face masks in stores, on public transport, and at mass events outdoors. E-quarantine will not be introduced. Croatia, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Malta will be added to high-risk Covid-19 countries, and all arrivals from these countries will have to home-quarantine for ten days.
