Given the low number of Covid-19 cases, the government will consider opening the economy faster, said PM Igor Matovič (OĽaNO). This week, all stores may open, but not shopping centers. Economy Minister Richard Sulík (SaS) will push for even the shopping centers to open. Matovič rejected this, fearing a second pandemic wave. Education Minister Branislav Gröhling (SaS) does not expect schools to open before September 1. Matovič hinted schools might open for a month during the summer holiday.
