Most companies would survive 2-3-month crisis
Slovak companies can withstand the current crisis, also thanks to state assistance, if economic activity resumes by the end of May, according to a central bank NBS analysis. Companies from the hospitality, retail, arts, entertainment, and travel sectors will be hit the hardest. If the pandemic lasts longer, many industrial companies will be under pressure, too. If the economy stalls for four months, half of mid-sized and large companies will become insolvent. On the other hand, most companies would survive a 2-3-month crisis.
