The government will present measures in support of large companies this week, said Labor Minister Milan Krajniak (Sme rodina). Last week, the EU ruled the €0.8m annual cap on assistance to a single company does not apply during the pandemic. The government will adopt a kurzarbeit scheme: reimbursement of a part of wages. Economy Minister Richard Sulík (SaS) will propose a 60-20-20 model, i.e. employees would get 80% of their salaries, with the state contributing 60% and companies 20%.
