Transport Minister Árpád Érsek will not extend the highway toll contract with SkyToll and will not purchase its toll system. The national highway firm NDS will instead call a tender for a new toll supplier in May. The contract of the current supplier, SkyToll (Petr Syrovátko), will expire in 2022. The tender will be for toll collection as well as for payments via fuel cards. The February general election puts the tender in doubt, as the new government is likely to replace NDS management. The company has been working on the tender for over a year. It will present tender conditions shortly and will let the public procurement authority ÚVO check them.
