Government handed out investment assistance

The government approved investment stimuli totaling €14m to five companies that plan to create 450 jobs. Kamax Fasteners will get a €5m stimulus for building a €25m fasteners plant in Bardejov. The plant should employ 100 upon production start in 2022. Oerlikon Balzers Coating will invest €9m to expand its Košice plant for coating solutions, create 110 jobs and get a €3.2m stimulus. Visma, a Norwegian IT firm, will get a €5.2m stimulus for its 200-strong business service center in Košice. Local machinery company V + S Welding will invest €4.7m to expand its plant in Bardejov, creating 40 jobs and getting €1.1m in investment assistance. Malt producer Sladovňa Michalovce will get €0.8m assistance for its €7.7m investment into capacity expansion.
