Mochovce nuclear power plant at serious risk of another major delay

The police arrested a Slovenské elektrárne (SE) manager and a manager of a Mochovce nuclear power plant completion supplier on Monday. No details were disclosed, only that some completion work was 10-times overpriced.

The police have already documented several cases where hundreds of millions were siphoned off the completion via Slovak and Italian companies. Paolo Ruzzini, former SE CEO, was briefly arrested earlier this year and was charged with tolerating low quality work and overpaying for completion services. Sources of the N daily warn the Mochovce nuclear power plant is at serious risk of another major delay due to low quality work.
