VW Passat and Škoda Karoq to be made in Bratislava
German car maker Volkswagen is considering the production of the VW Passat and Škoda Karoq models in its plant in Bratislava, according to Automobilwoche, a news portal. Both models were to be assembled in a new plant in Turkey, but VW suspended its construction due to the current political turmoil. The Bratislava plant will have free capacities once the production of small city cars VW Up!, Škoda Citigo, and Seat Mii is terminated in 2021. Recently, VW provided a job guaranty to the plant until 2024.
