Chirana T. Injecta expands abroad
Medical device maker Chirana T. Injecta, owned by investment group Wood & Company, is trying to acquire two medical device makers in Brazil and Turkey. Five years ago, it acquired the Czech manufacturer of surgical threads Chirmax and Vitrex, a Danish manufacturer of blood lancets and pipettes. Last year it opened a new production plant in China, with a local partner. Its current annual sales come to €35m and the two new acquisition targets have annual sales of €40m.
