Business service centers no longer expand in Slovakia
Business service centers in Slovakia increased their workforce by 1% to 37,000 last year and their average pay rose 3% to €1,830, according to data of Business Service Center Forum. They plan on a 5-10% wage increase for the coming three years. The sector is the third largest in the Slovak economy, after automotive and electronics. Its expansion is over, though, and the centers say a more flexible Labor Code is needed to reinvigorate them. They also complain about steep wage growth, labor shortages, and complicated employment of foreigners. No center plans to leave Slovakia, though, and many plan on expansion.
